What I Learned from Dartmouth Entrepreneurship
The Dartmouth entrepreneurship program helped me see that entrepreneurship is not just about having an idea. It is about understanding a problem, explaining the value, and improving the concept through feedback.
Bubble Buddies earned second place and a $500 award, but the most useful part was the process. The project started as handmade soap with an embedded toy for kids, and it became a way to think about product design, customer experience, and service.
From Idea to Pitch
Section titled “From Idea to Pitch”A pitch has to be clear. People need to understand what the product is, who it helps, and why it matters. That forced the team to keep simplifying.
Learning by Doing
Section titled “Learning by Doing”Entrepreneurship is creative, but it is also practical. It asks: would someone use this, what would make it better, and how would we know?
The service part mattered too. Donating the prize money to Webster House made the project feel less like a classroom exercise and more like a small example of what a business idea can do when it is connected to people.
