Christina Handras - College Profile

This page captures what I am learning, making, and contributing. It is intentionally grounded: the goal is to show the pattern behind my work, not to turn every activity into a sales pitch.

How I learn

  • I learn by building real things, testing ideas, and improving through iteration
  • I like connecting STEM, writing, entrepreneurship, music, athletics, and service instead of treating them as separate boxes
  • I do my best work on teams where design, communication, resilience, and trust all matter

Portfolio anchors

  • FRC Team 811 robotics work with CAD, mechanical subsystem design, and systems integration
  • The Yawn That Traveled the World
  • Bubble Buddies entrepreneurship project and service donation connected to Webster House
  • Bernoulli Fireplace Grate invention work and patent application context
  • Long-term soprano choir experience, including Carnegie Hall, plus theater, rowing, volleyball, and Culinary Club leadership

Values

  • Creativity, STEM learning, service, persistence, and practical product thinking
  • Curiosity without pretending to have everything figured out
  • A growing interest in mechanical engineering, intellectual property, assistive technology, and human-centered design
